Hi! I’m Alina.

I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m a mom, artist, and creative storyteller originally from the Dominican Republic, now living in Orlando, Florida. No matter where life has taken me, I’ve always carried the same love for beauty, nourishment, faith, and meaningful connection.

For over a decade, I worked in the food industry creating recipes for toddlers, and families. Over time, I realized my passion extended beyond recipes alone. I wanted to create something that helped people slow down, reconnect with what truly matters, and find beauty in everyday life.

That vision became Dear Friend.

What began as food-inspired art and heartfelt letters has grown into a community centered around wellness, intentional living, and human connection. Through art, recipes, storytelling, and monthly mail, my hope is to inspire a softer, healthier, and more grounded way of life; one rooted in faith, creativity, and presence.

Every piece I create is meant to feel personal, comforting, and full of meaning. Whether it’s a watercolor painting, a handwritten letter, a nourishing recipe, or a small thoughtful surprise in the mail, my goal is simple: to help people feel connected again, to themselves, to others, and to the beauty God placed in everyday moments.
